Annual Meeting
Date for the 2015 Annual Meeting to be announced
The Greater Fort Wayne Inc.'s  Annual Meeting provides the opportunity to recognize great contributions and innovations by large and small businesses as well as CEOs from the Fort Wayne community. Enjoy an evening of networking as you are briefed on the latest in Fort Wayne area business, hors d'oeuvres, and a cash bar.
Small Business of the Year
See qualifications above, however, the business must have 50 or fewer full-time equivalent employees.
CEO of the Year
Presented to the CEO of  a Greater Fort Wayne Inc.  investor who has made unique contributions not only their business and employees, but to the Fort Wayne Community as a whole.
Employee of the Year Award
Presented to the employee of a Greater Fort Wayne Inc. investor who serves as a positive role model in the workplace along with showing exceptional dedication to advancing the interests of his or her organization. 
ATHENA Awards

The ATHENA Award is presented to an individual who is recognized for professional excellence, for providing valuable service to the community and for actively assisting women in their attainment of professional excellence and leadership skills. The ATHENA Award highlights what recipients have accomplished in addition to paving a path for future successes.

The award is established through local host organizations in partnership with ATHENA's national underwriters, local businesses and individual sponsors. By honoring exceptional leaders, the ATHENA Award Program seeks to inspire others to achieve excellence.

ATHENA Award Nominees must meet each of the following three criteria:
  • Demonstrate excellence, creativity and initiative in their business or profession
  • Provide valuable service to improve the quality of life for others in their community
  • Actively assist women in achieving their full leadership potential
ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Nominees are emerging leaders age 40 or younger who meet each of the following criteria:
  • Demonstrate excellence, creativity and initiative in his or her business or profession
  • Provide valuable service to improve the quality of life for others in the community
  • Clearly serves as a role model for young women both personally and professionally
Nominee Qualifications
  • ATHENA Award Nominees may represent either the profit or not-for-profit sector, and must work in the Fort Wayne-Northeast Indiana area.
  • Previous ATHENA Award Recipients are not eligible for nomination, however past nominees may be nominated again.
  • There is no minimum or maximum age qualification that must be met by ATHENA Award Nominees.
  • Only one nominee per organization will be considered.
Completing the Nomination Form 
  • You are encouraged to work closely with your nominee to complete the nomination.
  • Nominations for the ATHENA Award must be submitted using this nomination form and format.
  • You may include no more than three additional pages of supporting documents (articles, testimonials, etc) with your completed nomination form.
A Selection Committee, made up of a diverse group of community leaders, will review all nominations and select the ATHENA Leadership Award Recipient and ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award. The recipients will be announced at the Tenth Annual Fort Wayne ATHENA Awards Luncheon.
ATHENA Scholarship 
Greater Fort Wayne Inc., in conjunction with the ATHENA International Award Committee, is pleased to announce the 2015 ATHENA Scholarship for the Fort Wayne area.

In 2006, the ATHENA Scholarship was founded with a generous contribution from Dr. Michele Helfgott of Parkview Integrative Medicine.  In the spirit of the ATHENA Award, the ATHENA Scholarship honors young women who have excelled in their academic careers while demonstrating leadership potential and a commitment to their community.

This scholarship is open to young women graduating with the high school class of 2014 who plan to pursue higher education in the state of Indiana. The ideal recipient will be a high achiever in academics who demonstrates leadership in her school and community. 

The scholarships of $1,000 will be awarded at the tenth Annual ATHENA Award luncheon on Wednesday, April 16,2014. 

The deadline for the scholarship application will is Friday, February 28, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. GFW encourages all eligible students to apply.

2014 Greater Golf Open

The golf tournament by Greater Fort Wayne Inc. is the-can't miss-golf event each year. Greater Fort Wayne Inc. golf outing provides a first-class experience that is enhanced by interactive networking activities at each tee box. Whether you love to play or are looking for a creative way to reach Fort Wayne Executives, our tournament provides a unique opportunity for budgets of all sizes. Our tournament has enjoyed a sold-out status for many years. Day at the Statehouse 
Greater Fort Wayne Inc. at the Statehouse is an opportunity for our members to travel to the statehouse to connect with the Northeast Delegation and let their voices be heard.

Travel to Indianapolis to see the Indiana General Assembly in action. Watch session, committee hearings, and get a first-hand look at the legislative process. Have lunch with Northeast Indiana Legislators and see how GFW advocates for your business.

Investors  will receive updates on current legislation, discuss issues with key members of the General Assembly, and enjoy lunch with our Northeast Delegation and a keynote speaker. Legislative Preview
Before the beginning of session, Greater Fort Wayne Inc. presents its legislative agenda to local and state elected officials and our members. The Legislative Agenda  includes the initiatives and policies GFW will promote for that legislative session.  Greater Fort Wayne Inc. Legislative wrap-up 
At the end of each legislative session, Greater Fort Wayne Inc. hosts a Legislative Wrap-Up to discuss the ups and downs of the past session.

Third House Forums 
The Third House is a forum for the Northeast Indiana legislative delegation to report on their activity at the statehouse and to speak with Greater Fort Wayne Inc. investors regarding issues that directly affect you. It is a unique opportunity to get to know your state legislators and share your thoughts on polices that concern you.
