Barry Schrock

Director of Leadership Programs

Barry joined Greater Fort Wayne Inc. in April 2019. In his role as director of leadership programs, he focuses on initiatives like Leadership Fort Wayne and the GFW Fellows program, among other duties.

Barry has worked in coaching, training, and leadership for more than 27 years. He was the co-owner and lead coach for Summit Coaching & Consulting Group, a company that specialized in leadership training and coaching for individuals, teams, school districts, nonprofits, and private-sector companies. He has also served as a basketball coach, educational leader, a featured keynote and conference speaker, workshop trainer, and a personal coach to numerous C-suite executives including CEOs, vice presidents, and managers.

An Allen County resident since 1999, Barry has been involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters as a Community Big and Lunch Buddy, as well as in the Real Men Read program. He also participates in Junior Achievement 100+ Entrepreneurs as a classroom speaker and program committee member. He serves as the chairman of the board of PeaceFire and board member of RespectTeam and Believe In A Dream. Barry also serves on the advisory boards for Bring It-Push It-Own It and Founders Spark.

Barry and his wife, Heather, an elementary ESL teacher, enjoy traveling, working out, and spending time with their two dogs, Bear and Belle. He earned his undergraduate degree from Ohio Northern University and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Indiana University. He is a Gallup-certified strengths coach.
