Kevin Morse

Director of Disability Initiatives

Kevin joined Greater Fort Wayne Inc. in April 2018, helping the Allen County business community understand the value in hiring people with physical and developmental disabilities. As inclusion became woven into all aspects of GFW Inc.’s operations, Kevin’s role grew accordingly. He now oversees a comprehensive program called the GFW Inc. Disabilities Initiative.

The Disabilities Initiative assists businesses and people with disabilities in multiple ways, including workforce development, assessing the accessibility of local businesses’ workspaces, and connecting Allen County newcomers to the local resources available to people with disabilities.

Kevin earned his Bachelor of Science degree in business/human resources from Western Governor’s University-Indiana and is a certified HR professional with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM-CP) as well as a Certified Inclusivity Assessor. He is also a member of the Leadership Fort Wayne class of 2021.

Kevin volunteers for the Allen County Public Library’s Audio Reading Service as the voice of a disability’s news program entitled “Able Living.” He has also done volunteer work for the Fort Wayne Community Center, AWS Foundation, and the disABILITIES Expo. Kevin serves on the board of directors for Lutheran Social Services of Indiana (LSSI) and the LSSI Governance Committee. He also serves on the board of directors for GiveHear and that organization’s executive committee.

He is a member of the Northeast Indiana Disabilities Advocacy Council (NEIDAC), the Northeast Indiana Human Resources Association (NIHRA), and the Society for Human Resource Management. Kevin is involved in a National Academy of Science, Education and Medicine research project with the Transportation Research Board on the accessibility of airports and air transportation for people with disabilities and older travelers. He is also a member of the statewide Ivy Tech Diversity Advisory Council.
