Fort Wayne Recovery to Host Open House on Sept. 14

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Fort Wayne Recovery will celebrate six months of service, as well as National Recovery Month, with an open house. The firm will open its doors to the community on Friday, September 14, at 3 p.m. at 310 East Dupont Road, Suite 2.

The open house is expected to feature remarks from Allen County Health Commissioner Dr. Deborah McMahan, Captain Kevin Hunter of the Fort Wayne Police Department’s Vice and Narcotics Division, and a client who recently completed treatment at Fort Wayne Recovery. Guests can also tour the facility and meet the staff.

Fort Wayne Recovery has had a busy start, already serving 30 clients. The company also received its “gold seal,” a National Quality Approval certification from The Joint Commission, an independent healthcare accreditation organization.

Counselors at Fort Wayne Recovery offer outpatient addiction treatment as well as individual therapy. Company leaders promote the 12-Step approach to recovery, but will use a variety of strategies depending on the best course for each individual.

“As a native Hoosier, it was my goal to bring a quality, individualized treatment center to northern Indiana,” said Mickey Ashpole, co-founder and CEO of Fort Wayne Recovery. “Addiction treatment is a daily battle, and I’m proud that we’ve been able to help our community in that battle as our clients heal and work toward long-term sobriety.”

Fort Wayne Recovery’s programs focus on:

  • Building strong support networks.
  • Finding and maintaining gainful employment.
  • Learning to manage symptoms and medications.
  • Promoting strong life skills.

The programs were designed by recovering addicts and alcoholics who are now enjoying sober, healthy, and fulfilling lives.
