Georgetown Bowl is Stepping Up its Game

Facility to Reopen on Sept. 2 as Georgetown Entertainment

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Part of the community for more than 40 years, Georgetown Bowl soon will offer much more than bowling. On September 2, the complex will reopen as Georgetown Entertainment, a sports-themed family entertainment center with attractions including bowling, bumper cars, a 4D interactive theater, an augmented climbing wall, an arcade, and a full-service bar and restaurant.

Georgetown Entertainment will celebrate its grand reopening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on September 2 at noon. Doors will open to the public at 5 p.m.

“One of our goals is to provide entertainment options for everyone,” said Collin Kerschner, VP of Regional Operations. “We are trying to create a variety of play options that bring people together and give them a fully immersive entertainment experience all under one roof.”

The 36,000-square-foot complex will remain at its current location, 6770 E. State Blvd. in Fort Wayne. The interactive theater will feature three unique movies where guests ride in moving roller-coaster-style seats, experience theatrical lighting, wind, and other immersive features. The augmented climbing wall will use lights and graphics to play interactive climbing games. The bumper cars have a spin feature where bumping your friend’s car in the right spot causes uncontrollable spinning. The 50 player station arcade features games for all age groups. And, of course, the bowling lanes are a great gathering place for friends and family members.

For many years, Georgetown Bowl has been the site for bowling leagues, fundraisers, company parties, and other social events and programs. Kerschner aims to continue adding new attractions to Georgetown Entertainment to draw families to Fort Wayne.

“We are very excited to bring family friendly entertainment to the east side of Fort Wayne,” he said. “We hope this facility will provide good times and happy memories to our neighbors and visitors alike.”
