Nominations open for 2026 Champions of Change Awards
GFW Inc. Women’s Network to honor those who mentor and empower women in Fort Wayne and Allen County
The Greater Fort Wayne (GFW) Inc. Women’s Network will present its eighth annual Champions of Change Awards on Tuesday, April 28, 2026. Now through February 23, community members are encouraged to submit nominations for the awards at greaterfwinc.com/COC-2026-nominations, which celebrate those who mentor and empower women in Allen County.
“The Champions of Change Awards celebrate the leaders whose commitment and vision help advance equity, mentorship, and opportunities for women throughout Allen County. By honoring those who inspire growth and champion inclusion every day, we not only elevate individual achievements but also build stronger organizations and a more vibrant community. It is a privilege to recognize the meaningful impact these changemakers bring to our community,” said Meghan Murphy, Director of Investor Programs at Greater Fort Wayne Inc.
Four awards will be presented this year, each honoring an individual making a substantial impact in one of the following sectors:
- Nonprofit
- Corporate
- Education
- Public Service
The awards are given annually to individuals currently working and/or living in Allen County who:
- Demonstrate an unwavering passion and commitment to our community.
- Are role models making a difference in the lives of others.
- Have made significant contributions that have inspired women to succeed.
- Have made Allen County a better place to live, work, and play.
Nominees do not need to be GFW Inc. members, and individuals may nominate themselves. The nomination deadline is February 23, and nominations must be submitted online at greaterfwinc.com/COC-2026-nominations.
The 2026 Champions of Change Award finalists will be recognized, and winners will be announced at an awards dinner on April 28. Last year, Jama Ross, Dawn Clopton, Captain Andrea Burton, Dr. Faye Williams-Robbins, and Casey Claypool were selected as the 2025 Champions of Change winners.
