Meghan Short

Director of Investor Programs

In her role as director of investor programs, Meghan builds and executes various programs and initiatives such as Leadership Fort Wayne, Onboard Fort Wayne, Allen County Leaders Luncheons, and the GFW Inc. Women’s Network.

Meghan has been involved in event management for 13 years and counting. While attending Ball State University, she was an active student member of professional networking organizations like Indiana Live Events Association (ILEA) and Meeting Professionals International (MPI). Meghan graduated from BSU with a bachelor’s degree in hospitality & event management.

Prior to joining the GFW Inc. team, she was the event coordinator for Sweetwater where she created and executed seamless events for the company’s employees and nonprofit/community guests, in addition to managing logistics for customer appreciation events like GearFest and the Pavilion Concert Series. Meghan is a 2018 graduate of the Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana Leadership Institute, a 2021 graduate of Leadership Fort Wayne, and a 2021 Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly Forty Under 40 award recipient. She currently serves as a board member of two local youth leadership development and mentoring programs, Pave the Path and 4WARD, and is on the economic security committee for the Women’s Fund of Greater Fort Wayne.

As a proud native of Fort Wayne, Meghan keeps her passion for music, theater, and culture alive by volunteering at the Fort Wayne Civic Theatre and attending many of the city’s festivals and events. In her free time, she runs a modern calligraphy design business, enjoys hiking & traveling, and spending time with her family and three cats.
