Meghan Murphy

Meghan joined Greater Fort Wayne Inc. in 2020, bringing her extensive experience and passion for building impactful connections. Her exceptional performance and leadership led to her promotion of Director of Investor Programs, where she oversees the event team and builds high-impact programs such as Leadership Fort Wayne (LFW), the LFW Alumni Network, the GFW Inc. Women’s Network, and annual Champions of Change Awards. She is also responsible for maintaining strong relationships with all GFW Inc. members and community partners through our annual sponsorships.

Before joining the GFW Inc. team, Meghan was the event coordinator at Sweetwater, where she orchestrated seamless events for employees, nonprofit partners, and community guests, including GearFest and the Pavilion Concert Series. With over 16 years of industry experience, Meghan holds a bachelor’s degree in hospitality & event management from Ball State University. She prides herself on being an event expert, bridge builder, inclusivity advocate, and creative curator that designs welcoming experiences for people to connect, grow, and show up as their authentic self.

A leader in her field, Meghan’s contributions have been recognized as a Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly Forty Under 40 (2021), Leadership Fort Wayne Graduate (2021), and Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana Leadership Institute Graduate (2018). She is also SafeZone certified by Purdue University Fort Wayne as an LGBTQIA+ ally and a Certified Inclusivity Assessor through the Inclusive Recreation Resource Center.

Meghan is also the owner of a calligraphy design business, mentor for Believe in a Dream’s youth leadership program, and member of the Women’s Fund economic security committee. Her purest moments of joy come from exploring the outdoors, traveling with her husband, volunteering with Arts United, tackling DIY projects, and savoring a good book alongside her four fur babies.
