Wyndham Garden Hotel to Reopen, Completing its Comeback

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Three years after a fire forced them to close their Challenger Parkway location, Namou Hotel Group will reopen the doors. The fully remodeled Wyndham Garden will celebrate its rebirth with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 23.

The 134-room, full-service hotel underwent a $6 million renovation, clearing the way for a fresh start.

“We are dedicated to the growth and rebirth of the great city of Fort Wayne and we are very excited to be part of it,” said Kalvin Shunia, regional manager at Namou Hotel Group. “We strive to be good corporate citizens, and we appreciate the support we receive from this community.”

Namou currently operates four hotels in Fort Wayne and has plans to build three new properties in the city in the coming years: one in southwest Fort Wayne and two in the Dupont Road area.

The Wyndham Garden’s amenities include free breakfast, an indoor-outdoor pool, a fully equipped fitness room, well-appointed guest rooms, and 1,920 square feet of event space. Its location near I-69 and Lima Road give easy access to all of Fort Wayne’s attractions.

The Wyndham Garden is located at 5750 Challenger Parkway in Fort Wayne. The grand reopening, slated for August 23, is open to the public and will begin with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. Guests are invited to enjoy food, giveaway items, and tours of the revamped property.
