Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana opens new HQ

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana (JANI) is ready to take a major step forward in a new facility. The organization’s new headquarters will officially open this week at 550 E. Wallen Rd. in Fort Wayne, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony slated for 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 25.

In the new space, JA BizTown and JA Finance Park experiential learning facilities will operate under the same roof as the JANI headquarters. The facility represents an investment of $10.75 million.

“This new facility will allow us to deepen our program impact and student reach,” said Lena Yarian, president of JANI. “We are thrilled to be able to serve this region with the highly experiential programs that will inspire and engage our youth.”

JANI has served the students of northeast Indiana since 1952, promoting workforce readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy through hands-on educational programs. This year, thanks to dedicated volunteers, JANI programming will reach more than 145,000 students in 30 counties. These students range from pre-K through 12th grade.

In the next 10 years, JANI leaders plan to continue expanding their programming, reaching more students with entrepreneurial initiatives and experiential workforce and financial literacy programming.

Wednesday’s ribbon-cutting ceremony is open to invited guests and members of the media.
