Partners 1st Federal Credit Union Keeps Growing

Ribbon Cutting at Waynedale Location Scheduled for Nov. 29

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Partners 1st Federal Credit Union, an investor in Greater Fort Wayne Inc., is pleased to announce the expansion of its network into Waynedale. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place Wednesday, November 29, at 11 a.m., at the new branch, located at 6731 Old Trail Road in Fort Wayne.

The ribbon cutting is open to the public and will include free hot dogs, chips, and beverages provided by Fun 101.7 FM. The opening of the Waynedale location marks the credit union’s 24th branch.

“All of us at Partners 1st are excited to be able to better serve the Waynedale community,” said Carla Bienz, president and CEO. “With the recent merger of General Credit Union into our family, we now have more than 1,200 members and several business partners that will find our Waynedale location a great convenience. We look forward to continued growth in this community.”

Founded in 1952 by seven Magnavox employees as Magnavox Employees Federal Credit Union, the credit union has grown to be a $358 million financial institution over the last 65+ years.
