FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Vita Nonwovens’ $18-million investment will come to fruition in June. The company recently finished a 150,000-square-foot expansion at its Fort Wayne facility, located at 9403 Avionics Dr., and will celebrate the new addition on Wednesday, June 12. The celebration will begin with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 1 p.m.
The added space allows Vita Nonwovens to install a brand-new production line. The company is adding 22 employees as part of the expansion.
Vita Nonwovens makes products including fabrics, insulation, and filtration materials for the mattress, medical, automotive, and industrial industries. Based in High Point, N.C., the company has seen steady growth in recent years.
“Our Fort Wayne facility has been a key part of our company’s growth,” said Tavid Markarian, Fort Wayne plant manager for Vita Nonwovens. “We pride ourselves on creating innovative products and producing them at the highest quality, and the team in Fort Wayne lives up to that standard every day. We’re thrilled to build on our commitment to this community.”
The ribbon-cutting ceremony, slated for 1 p.m., is open to the public. After the ceremony concludes, guests can enjoy light refreshments.
