Electric Works Video Strikes a Chord

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – A new video touting the Electric Works project has sparked significant community interest in the project and its catalytic potential.

The video, titled “Something Electric in the Air,” received more than 50,000 organic views and was shared more than 1,000 times on Facebook in the five days after it debuted. As of this morning, the count had climbed to more than 54,000 organic views. For context, Greater Fort Wayne Inc.’s “Opportunity on the Edge of Greatness” video highlighting five bold projects has garnered about 15,000 views on YouTube since it was posted nearly two years ago.

More than 97 percent of the 2,900-plus people who reacted to the video on Facebook either “liked” or “loved” it.

“Electric Works is inspiring incredible community pride,” said Andrew Thomas, board chair of Greater Fort Wayne Inc. “The public is excited, and rightly so. Electric Works is a game-changer that will help grow jobs, wages, and the economy for our entire region. This is the type of project that a nationally recognized economy completes.”

The video was produced by Lynchpin Creative and Ferguson Advertising, both headquartered in Fort Wayne, and made its public debut June 13 at the GFW Inc. Annual Meeting. It was posted online on June 15.
