Fort Wayne Metals Expands Its Legacy

Fort Wayne Metals announced it will begin an expansion of its headquarters facility on Ardmore Avenue just north of Fort Wayne International Airport. Fort Wayne Metals operates 11 facilities in the greater Fort Wayne area as well as one in Castlebar, Ireland. The company is a globally recognized leader in the research, development, and production of fine grade medical wire; its expertise lies in stainless steel, nickel, cobalt, nitinol and titanium alloys as well as many composite materials in various forms. Fort Wayne Metals will begin construction immediately and projects to be completed in December of 2014.

are four key priorities: economic development incentives, single county Executive for Allen County, increased
funding for the EARN Indiana program, and support for a different classification for Indiana University‐Purdue
University Fort Wayne that recognizes its uniqueness in the State.

Greater Fort Wayne Inc., the organization that serves as the single‐point‐of‐contact for economic growth in greater Fort Wayne, announces John Urbahns as its Executive Vice President of Economic Development. Urbahns comes to this position with a significant amount of experience having served as the Director of Community Development for the City of Fort Wayne for nearly seven years, and has been with the City since 1996.
